On Tuesday, January 27, 2009, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm EST, Mintz Levin is presenting an informative webinar entitled, "It's Midnight, May 1, 2009. Do you know where your information security plan is?" This event will focus on the looming May 1, 2009, deadline when Massachusetts will start requiring comprehensive information security programs of any business that owns, stores, licenses, or maintains the personal information of a Massachusetts resident.
Cynthia J. Larose, a member in the Corporate practice, and Elissa Flynn-Poppey, an associate in the Public Finance and Litigation Sections, will address the scope of the “Standards for the Protection of Personal Information of Residents of the Commonwealth.” In particular, they will examine how these standards apply to all businesses with such information while also providing attendees an opportunity to ask their compliance questions.
