On Monday, January 25, 2009 and Tuesday, January 26, 2009, Howard J. Symons, a member in the Communications Section, will serve as co-chair of the Practising Law Institute’s Broadband and Cable Industry Law 2010 program in New York City. The two-day conference will detail analysis of federal initiatives and FCC regulations, and examine current case law, the latest technology forecasts, and market trends. Christopher J. Harvie, also a member in the Communications Section, will also be in attendance and will speak on “Latest in Privacy Issues,” discussing such topics as privacy issues raised by behavioral and targeted advertising, and the new privacy concerns that technology may raise.
