Mintz Levin's Bruce Sokler will speak on "Physician Practice Mergers" at the Antitrust in Healthcare conference, co-sponsored by the ABA Health Law Section, the ABA Section of Antitrust Law, and the American Health Lawyers Association.

Session Description

After years of focusing on hospital mergers, over the last several years the FTC increasingly has trained its sights on physician mergers it considers anticompetitive. States are concerned about these transactions as well--one state filed Its own challenge to a physician merger last year. The panel will consider the recent history of challenges to physician mergers and consider how litigating a physician merger is similar to--or different form--the litigation of a hospital merger.
