California AG Issues Revised Draft CCPA Regulations

Late in the afternoon on Friday, the California Attorney General dropped the long-awaited revised draft regulations implementing the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA).  The AG’s office provided a redline to the initial draft regulations, which we have previously discussed.   All our commentary on the CCPA to date (including an analysis of the initial draft regulations) can be found in our CCPA Toolkit, here.

According to the AG’s website, another comment period has opened on the revised draft regulations.  The deadline to submit written comments is February 24 at 5 PM (PST).

As with the initial draft regulations, we will be providing a summary and guidance related to each of the major sections of the revised draft regulations.   Stay tuned.
