Zackin, of counsel in the Employment, Labor and Benefits Section, will speak on "An Overview Of Wage and Hour Law: How To Classify Your Employees and Avoid Common Pitfalls" for the Northeast Human Resources Association. This breakfast presentation will provide an overview of federal and state wage and hour laws, including exemptions, how best to classify employees, good timekeeping practices, and independent contractors, and will also provide tips on best practices for avoiding common pitfalls that can result in costly litigation.
