Workplace Violence: Minimizing Risk

On Thursday, January 13, 2011, from 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m., Martha Zackin will be speaking at the North East Human Resources Association’s Legal and Legislative Workshop in Norwood, Massachusetts. The topic of the workshop will be “Workplace Violence: Minimizing Risk.” Workplace violence is violence or the threat of violence against workers, ranging from verbal abuse to physical assaults and homicide. However it manifests, workplace violence is a growing concern for employers and employees everywhere. No workplace can be entirely free of risk and no strategy will ever be appropriate for all workplaces. However, employers can minimize risk by implementing a comprehensive, violence prevention program.
