Mintz Levin attorney Joseph R. Dunn has been elected President of the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum, a non-profit organization of professionals working in the bankruptcy and insolvency industry. Mr. Dunn, who works in the firm's Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Commercial Law Section, will serve a term of one year. In addition to his role as President, he also serves on the Forum's Board of Directors.
Mr. Dunn's practice at Mintz Levin focuses on all aspects of corporate reorganization and bankruptcy law. His representations include corporate debtors, franchisors, lenders, creditor and equity committees, trustees, and landlords. Mr. Dunn has substantial experience representing parties in disputes in the Bankruptcy Court, particularly in litigation regarding avoidable transfers and real property disputes.
Mr. Dunn is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the San Diego County Bar Association and the California and San Diego Bankruptcy Forums. He received his B.S. in finance, magna cum laude, from California State University, Chico in 2002, and his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2005.
