Mintz Levin Adds Robert P. Taylor to Head its Palo Alto Office

Palo Alto, CA – Robert P. Taylor has joined Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, PC as the Managing Member of the firm's Palo Alto office.  For more than 35 years, Mr. Taylor has served as trial counsel in numerous patent and antitrust matters involving a wide range of technologies and industries, including thin film transistors, semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes, surgical devices, stem cell technology, DNA arrays, genetic expression of proteins, liquid chromatography devices, audio compression algorithms, network switching equipment, microprocessors, automotive electronics and many more.  He has represented a broad array of clients that includes General Electric, ARM, Accretech, Xerox, Chrysler, Scripto and Chevron.

Prior to joining Mintz Levin, Mr. Taylor spent more than 10 years at Howrey LLP, where he founded and managed the firm's Northern California practice.   Mr. Taylor is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a former chair of the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association, a former Patent Examiner and served as a member of the Advisory Commission on Patent Law Reform, whose report was presented to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce in 1992.  A graduate of the University of Arizona, he earned his law degree from Georgetown University.
