Elissa Flynn-Poppey Appointed to the Massachusetts Bar Association Law Review as an Editor

Mintz Levin attorney, Elissa Flynn-Poppey, has been appointed to the Massachusetts Bar Association Law Review as an editor.

Elissa is an associate in the firm's Boston office, where she practices in the Litigation Section.

Prior to joining Mintz Levin, Elissa was Deputy Counsel to Governor Romney and Executive Director of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Office of the Governor of Massachusetts. One of only four direct legal advisors to the Governor and Lieutenant Governor, she was primarily responsible for issues related to the judiciary and judicial selection, criminal justice and public safety.

Before joining the Governor's office, Elissa was an associate in the Litigation Section of a Boston-based law firm, focusing primarily on the defense of complex litigation, including products liability, insurance defense, employment litigation, commercial litigation, premises liability and construction litigation. She also previously served as a law clerk to the Justices of the Superior Court of Massachusetts, and was research assistant to Judge Joseph Nolan of the Supreme Judicial Court for update of the Massachusetts Practice Series.
