Jeremy D. Glaser, Former Co-Chair of Morrison & Foerster's Emerging Company/Venture Capital Group, Joins Mintz Levin's Growing San Diego Office
San Diego, CA – Adding to its growing West Coast corporate practice, Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, PC announced that Jeremy D. Glaser, formerly the co-chair of the Emerging Company/Venture Capital Group at Morrison & Foerster LLP, has joined the firm's San Diego office as a Member.
Mr. Glaser brings substantial expertise representing emerging growth companies as well as venture capital firms, hedge funds, issuers and underwriters in connection with venture capital financings, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, private placements, secondary offerings, PIPE financings, SEC compliance and licensing arrangements. His experience spans a range of industries, including clean tech, Internet, software, wireless, semiconductors, computer hardware, medical devices, biotechnology and health care services. In addition, Mr. Glaser regularly advises management and boards of public companies on complex disclosure and insider trading issues, compliance with federal securities laws, and corporate governance requirements.

Mintz Levin's Corporate Practice completed transactions totaling over $40 billion in 2007. Included were 54 mergers and acquisitions totaling over $33 billion, 45 venture capital deals totaling over $500 million, 22 public offerings valued at $1.5 billion and 15 strategic collaborations totaling $1.5 billion. In addition, the practice completed 133 other transactions including PIPEs, private placements, fund formations and debt offerings for a combined total of $4.5 billion.

Mr. Glaser earned his law degree from Harvard Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude, and a B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude, from Duke University. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Glaser was General Counsel and a partner at Sterling Stamos Capital Management, LP, an investment management company, and before that, a partner at Cooley Godward LLP. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego Venture Group and the CONNECT Springboard program.
