Richard A. Kanoff, who is Of Counsel in the Corporate Practice, will be co-chairing and speaking at a strategic two-day conference on Renewable Energy in New England. This event, sponsored by Law Seminars International, is scheduled for September 8-9, in Boston at the Hilton Boston Back Bay Hotel. The conference will bring together federal and state policy makers, developers, transmission companies and financial players to discuss opportunities and challenges for renewable energy and efficiency programs in the Northeast.
On Monday, September 8 at 10:30 am, Mr. Kanoff will deliver a presentation entitled "Developments in the Western U.S. and What They Suggest for Future Planning in the Northeast." All of the high-level speakers will address the current status and likely impacts of federal and state initiatives, the next wave of renewable technologies to be deployed in the region, and opportunities for increased investment in the sector.
While the conference will provide an excellent overview of the pertinent law, policy, and economics, the goal is to create an opportunity for a focused faculty and audience to develop new insights and relationships that will increase opportunities for continued success in the renewable energy sector.
