Julie Korostoff Recognized in the Top Ten Lawyers in Boston by Women's Business Boston

Boston, MA – Julie Korostoff, a Member in Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C.'s Corporate section, has been selected as one of the "Top Ten Women Lawyers in Boston," in the April 2009 issue of Women's Business Boston.  Ms. Korostoff was selected based upon responses from firm clients and Women's Business readers, who submitted nominations for "the legal eagles [they] turn to for top-notch counsel and representation." 

A Member in the firm's Boston office, Ms. Korostoff represents clients in all sectors in the acquisition, licensing and disposition of technology, data and other intellectual property assets.  She has extensive experience structuring and negotiating domestic and international contracts for software development, licensing, support and distribution as well as for IT consulting and outsourcing arrangements.  

In the healthcare and financial services sector, Ms. Korostoff represents clients facing specific data security and regulatory challenges, such as HIPAA and Gramm-Leach Bliley.  She counsels companies selling technology to hospitals, health plans, physician practice groups and other health-related entities as well as hospitals and other health-related organizations that are procuring technology systems and related services.  She represents financial services companies in the provision of financial transaction and data processing services and in the procurement of the technology, data and content necessary to provide such services. 

Ms. Korostoff is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New York. She received her B.A. cum laude from Wellesley College in 1984 and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 where she served as Articles Editor of the Comparative Labor Law Journal and was awarded the Herman J. Lazarus prize for best comment on a comparative labor law topic.
