Mintz Levin Represents NewLead Holdings Ltd. In its Acquisition of Six Vessels and Shipping Management Company

New York, NY – Corporate attorneys from the New York office of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. worked on behalf of NewLead Holdings Ltd. to complete the dropdown acquisition of six vessels – four drybulk vessels and two product tankers, as well as Newlead Shipping S.A., an integrated technical and commercial management company from Grandunion Inc. NewLead Holdings Ltd. is an international shipping company that owns and operates product tankers and dry bulk vessels.
In connection with this transaction, NewLead transferred to Grandunion 8,844,444 shares of NewLead's common stock and assumed existing liabilities.
