Washington, DC – Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its Washington, D.C. presence, having grown from a handful of attorneys to a full-service office with premier practice areas in communications, health care, litigation, antitrust and energy law, among others.
Founded in 1981 by former FCC Chairman, Charles D. Ferris and a group of top communications attorneys from government and industry, the office has grown to nearly 60 attorneys and has played a major role in shaping the development of several key industries, including telecommunications and health care.
“From its earliest days in helping to shape communications policy, to being at the forefront of today’s evolving health care debate, Mintz Levin’s Washington office has played an integral part in helping clients succeed in these and other growing and established industries,” said Susan W. Berson, Managing Member of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm’s Policy Committee.
Recently, the office strengthened its Health Care Enforcement Defense Practice with the addition of one of the top former fraud investigators from the Department of Justice and its Antitrust Practice with a veteran health care antitrust attorney.
In addition, ML Strategies’ Federal Government Relations practice is based in the firm’s Washington office providing clients with the ability to respond to and influence emerging public policy challenges and opportunities.
