Boston, MA - Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. today announced that it represented The Macgregor Group, Inc. in its acquisition by Investment Technology Group, Inc. The all cash transaction was valued at approximately $230 million.
The privately-held, Boston-based Macgregor Group, Inc., a leading provider of trade order management technology for the global financial community, entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by the New York-based Investment Technology Group, Inc. (ITG), a leading provider of technology-based equity trading services and transaction research. The transaction, the first of its kind in which a broker-dealer, ITG, owns an order management systems company, is expected to close in September.
