Boston, MA - Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. today announced that it represented International Shipping Enterprises, Inc. in its acquisition of Navios Maritime Holdings, Inc. The transaction, completed on August 25, 2005, was valued at over $600 million.
International Shipping Enterprises, Inc., a public SPAC, completed the acquisition of Navios Maritime Holdings, Inc., a Greek shipping company, when its winning bid was chosen in an auction run by Lazard. The company was reincorporated from the State of Delaware to the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and will conduct business as Navios Maritime Holdings, Inc. Navios Maritime Holdings, Inc. is one of the leading global brands in seaborne dry bulk shipping and is a trusted partner for industrial end users, ship-owners, financial business partners, agents and brokers.
