Mintz Levin is extremely pleased to report that the Islamic Society of Boston was forced to abandon all of its lawsuits against the 17 defendants it had sued for defamation, civil rights violations and conspiracy, without any consideration whatsoever. The ISB dropped all of its claims against the defendants without receiving a dollar in compensation, in the face of a withering assault lead by Mintz Levin's Joe Lipchitz and George Price, ably assisted along the way by Noah Shaw, Carrie Heim and others, which disclosed, among other things, contributions by the ISB to organizations that were designated as Foreign Terrorist Organizations, a bank account set up out of the jurisdiction to receive Middle Eastern funding, close relationships with a radical cleric who had been barred by the United States Government from entering the United States and an individual who had pleaded guilty to terrorism financing charges, the destruction of evidence, perjurious testimony and much more.
