The Federal Circuit’s recent decision in Forest Group, Inc. v. Bon Tool Company has greatly magnified the potential liability for companies that mark products with patent numbers. The case has spawned a series of lawsuits and legislative discussion. This program will cover the current landscape of lawsuits and legislation, and provide advice for practical and risk-conscious patent marking practices and license agreement provisions.
