Representative Experience

  • Obtained approvals required by regulators in Massachusetts and federal regional offices for construction of two interstate natural gas pipelines in Massachusetts — the HubLine across Massachusetts Bay and the Northeast Gateway Lateral from the HubLine — to Excelerate’s offshore LNG port.
  • Leading the effort in Massachusetts to obtain all federal, state, and local environmental permits for development of the Greater Springfield Reliability Project and other improvements to the high-voltage electric transmission system serving New England.
  • Represented GenOn in National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit appeals to the EPA’s Environmental Appeals Board as well as on other permitting matters.
  • Represented the Central Artery/Tunnel (CA/T) project in securing the project’s major federal and state environmental impact and permit approvals and in defending the project against numerous environmental adjudicatory and state and federal litigation appeals.
