Mintz Levin represents clients throughout the country in antitrust matters ranging from private treble-damage litigation to state civil enforcement proceedings and federal, civil, and criminal antitrust investigations. Our litigators view questions involving the antitrust law as business questions. The goal of any review of these questions is to meet our clients’ business goals consistent with the antitrust laws. We understand that these questions often do not arise from a “still life” portrait; instead they usually emerge from a dynamic competitive environment. We are experienced in quickly reviewing that environment to determine the proper way to approach the issue and find a creative solution.
Members of our Litigation Section have represented clients in connection with investigations and litigation brought by the Justice Department, Federal Trade Commission, and state Attorneys General, and have been involved in numerous criminal and civil antitrust lawsuits throughout the United States.
We have particular strength in the area of health care antitrust. Our lawyers are actively involved in counseling and representing clients in matters such as hospital mergers, managed care antitrust issues, exclusive provider arrangements, and refusals to deal, including Justice Department and Federal Trade Commission investigations and proceedings.
