Since joining Mintz Levin in 1998 as a Technology Specialist, Heidi’s work has involved patent prosecution, primarily in the area of biotechnology, including the fields of organic and organometallic chemistry, as well as biochemistry and molecular biology. She has been involved in litigation and domestic and foreign patent prosecution, including due diligence, opposition work, and opinion work.

She conducted her doctoral studies in organic chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she synthesized and studied the structure of modified RNAs. Her post-doctoral work at the Scripps Research Institute included kinetic analysis of ribozyme catalysis. Her undergraduate research concentrated on using organometallic compounds to synthesize biologically important target molecules.
