Jason brings over 10 years of experience in government relations, having worked in both the public and private sectors. He currently works on a diverse set of issues for ML Strategies clients, including those related to the telecommunications industry and the financial services industry as well as issues related to large-scale project development.

Immediately before joining ML Strategies, Jason was an associate in the DC office of an international law firm, where he advised the firm’s corporate clients on how to navigate the legislative process. While at the firm, he created, organized, and managed the FACTA Reform Coalition, successfully securing the unanimous support of Congress to retroactively eliminate burdensome lawsuits related to the inclusion of certain information on a consumer’s credit or debit card receipt. Additionally, he counseled clients on a variety of matters, including compliance with the regulations of the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Election Commission, and the Lobbying Disclosure Act.

From 2000 to 2007, Jason worked for Congressman Tom Lantos (D-CA), ultimately serving as his legislative counsel. During his service to Congressman Lantos, the former chair of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and a senior member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Jason was responsible for a variety of legislative and policy issues, both international and domestic.

Before working for Congressman Lantos, Jason worked for several other members of Congress, including Sen. Edward Kennedy, Congressman Sherwood Boehlert, and Congressman Robert Weygand.

A native of Massachusetts, Jason has also been involved in a variety of political campaigns in his home state as well as in California, New York, and New Hampshire, both at the state and federal levels.
