Joshua’s practice focuses on health insurance and managed care issues, especially those relating to the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
Prior to joining Mintz Levin as an Associate, Joshua worked as a Health Policy Intern for ML Strategies, LLC. In this role, he met with clients on issues such as grant applications, current and pending legislation, and created a weekly health care reform update detailing the activities of Congress, agencies, and states.
Joshua has also served as a legal intern for the Harris County Hospital District in Houston, Texas, and for the corporate counsel of Sentara Healthcare in Norfolk, Virginia. In these roles, he researched the governance of Federally Qualified Health Centers and hospital liability issues; reviewed contracts with physicians, clinics, and hospitals; and assisted in creating policies to ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and other regulations.
