Kanasha’s practice includes working with public companies and early-stage companies in matters such as corporate governance, securities offerings and reporting compliance, and mergers and acquisitions.

For public companies, including medical device manufacturers, hardware manufacturers, and pharmaceutical companies, Kanasha has served as ongoing general counsel on issues related to initial and follow-on public offerings and compliance with federal and state securities laws and securities exchange listing standards representing both companies and underwriters. For early-stage companies, mostly in the high technology, life sciences, energy and clean technology industries, she has provided counsel on formation and corporate governance and has represented both companies and venture capital investors in venture capital financing transactions and other private placements.

Kanasha’s experience in mergers and acquisitions includes representing liquid natural gas suppliers and medical device manufacturers. Additionally, she has provided counsel to clients with respect to international land acquisitions, lease obligations, secured financial obligations, technology licensing, copyright, and various regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Mintz Levin, Kanasha served as an associate with another law firm in Boston. Before attending law school, she worked as a hardware engineer creating design solutions for low to midrange servers. During law school, she served as an Editor and an Executive Board member for the Uniform Commercial Code Reporter-Digest.
