Kanasha’s broad corporate practice includes working with public companies and early-stage companies in matters such as corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions, and is also informed by her particular experience as an electrical engineer.
For public companies including medical device manufacturers, hardware manufacturers, and digital data imaging and software simulation companies, Kanasha has served as ongoing general counsel on issues related to federal securities laws and securities exchange listing standards. For early-stage companies, mostly in the life sciences and technology industries, she has provided counsel on formation and corporate governance and has drafted and negotiated various venture capital transaction documents representing both companies and venture capital investors.
Kanasha’s experience in mergers and acquisitions includes providing analysis and due diligence on international land acquisitions, lease obligations, secured financial obligations, technology licensing, copyright, and various regulatory matters.
Prior to joining Mintz Levin, Kanasha served as an associate with another law firm in Boston. Before attending law school, she worked as a hardware engineer creating design solutions for low to midrange servers. During law school, she served as an Editor and an Executive Board member for the Uniform Commercial Code Reporter-Digest.
