Nick has served as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, borrower’s counsel, and indenture trustee’s counsel in connection with the issuance of tax-exempt and taxable financings and workouts related to transportation, higher education, health care, economic development, project finance, and senior living.

Prior to joining Mintz Levin, Nick took part in a deferral externship at the Legal Aid Society of New York’s Housing Help Program in South Bronx. As an extern, Nick worked on close to 90 cases, preparing answers and conducting client intake to draft motions, negotiating with landlord attorneys, and arguing cases in front of a housing court judge. As the only Spanish-speaking attorney in the program, Nick did a significant amount of translation work to assist the 30% of the program’s clients who spoke no English. Nick continues to represent low-income tenants in the Boston area as the director of Mintz Levin’s Housing Court Program.

During law school, he served as a senior editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.
