Rich leads the firm's Public Finance Practice and is a member of the firm's governing Policy Committee as well as its Compensation Committee. He primarily represents mutual funds, indenture trustees, hedge funds, and insurance companies in tax-exempt bond transactions, focusing in the area of high-yield securities in both workout and new money transactions.
Rich specializes in numerous sectors, including senior living, health care, multi-family housing, assessment districts, charter schools, solid waste disposal, and hospitality facilities. Rich also counsels end users of derivative products.
He is a frequent panelist on topics concerning distressed bonds and tax-exempt finance, and is an adjunct professor at Boston College Law School, where he is teaching a course on public finance.
