Sarah's practice focuses on advising technology, software, life sciences, and health care companies on commercialization of intellectual property assets, including counseling with respect to strategic alliances, technology acquisition, licensing, and other corporate partnering transactions. She frequently counsels clients on the important business and legal considerations related to structuring and negotiating transactions of this nature by working with the client to meet business objectives while, at the same time, balancing legal risk. Sarah is a former scientist with degrees in biotechnology and genetics and has comprehensive life science industry knowledge.

Prior to joining Mintz Levin, Sarah practiced at a startup and venture capital focused law firm in the Boston area. In her previous practice, she was frequently in the position of representing small start-up companies in transactions opposing Fortune 500 companies, where a business-focused, practical approach is key to closing deals. She has carried that approach into her current practice at Mintz Levin. Sarah also has experience assisting clients in managing relationships with outside counsel engaged on other matters, including counsel advising on regulatory issues, privacy concerns, international matters, intellectual property protection, litigation, and employment matters.
