In the past several years, Bill has headed the Mintz Levin trial team in a major securities class action case, argued a Constitutional case in the US Supreme Court, and served as lead counsel in several international arbitrations involving patent license disputes in the biotechnology industry.

In the course of his career, he has also tried cases and/or argued appeals in the areas of antitrust, trade secrets, environmental law, government contracts, and customs law. He has been counsel to firms and individuals involved in investigations in the areas of antitrust, consumer protection, securities, federal procurement, and campaign finance.

In addition to his litigation practice, Bill has served as general counsel to a major trade association since 1984, which has primarily involved antitrust counseling, and he has frequently represented clients in legislative or administrative matters.

Bill was an associate at Covington & Burling in Washington (1964 – 1969) and a member of Cladouhos & Brashares (1969 – 1985) before joining Mintz Levin. While at law school, he was an associate editor of the Michigan Law Review and a finalist in the Campbell Moot Court Competition.
