Earlier this week, the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission announced that they will hold a one day workshop on competition policy and the real estate industry on Tuesday, October 25, 2005
This workshop is the latest reflection of the concern that the federal antitrust enforcement agencies have regarding the competitiveness of the residential real estate brokerage business, and the impact that restrictions on discount brokers and limited service brokers may have on consumers.
