Immigration Alert: H-1B Visa Reform

On November 22, 2004, Congress passed an Omnibus Appropriations Bill (H.R.4818), which contains significant immigration law changes, specifically to the H-B and L-1 visa categories. President Bush is expected to sign this bill into law very soon. As described in this Alert, some of these changes take effect immediately upon enactment, some take effect 90 days after enactment, and some take effect 180 days after enactment.
