Real Estate Article: "Don't Reserve Space Now for Tenant's Future in Telecommunications Equipment"

This article provides practical advice for handling a situation involving a tenant's request that the business owner reserve space for the tenant's future use by highlighting the downsides to agreeing to this type of request.  The author warns against honoring these requests due to the possibility of owners not only losing control over their roofs, but also losing desirable prospective tenants because they couldn't offer rooftops space to meet their telecommunications needs.  In order to avoid these problems, the article recommends that the owner require the tenant to have plans and specifications for its telecommunications equipment and wiring before one signs the lease, and adds special language (detailed in the article) to the section of one's lease where it discusses the tenant's telecom rights.
