As Medicare reimbursement for imaging services continues to rise, so do the eyebrows of the Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the Department of Health and Human Services. Utilization of MRI, PET, and CT scans has grown an average of 20 percent per year from 1999 - 2005.
Christee is an associate in the firm's Boston Office where she practices in the Health Section.
Daria serves as Special Counsel in the firm's Boston office, practicing in the Health Section. She provides a wide range of services to a variety of individual, corporate and institutional health care clients, including health systems and hospitals, nursing homes, home care providers, assisted living facilities, emergency medical transport providers, clinics, and sole and group practitioners. She advises her clients in areas such as general corporate counsel, fraud and abuse, HIPAA compliance, risk management, contract negotiation, regulatory, licensing, and certification issues, medical staff issues, and managed care counseling. Daria also represents individuals before the professional licensing boards, including the Boards of Registration in Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy.
