The Real Estate Paralegal will be responsible for providing support to the attorneys in the Real Estate Section. The position will report to a designated member in charge of Real Estate Paralegals and the Section Manager.
Coordination of purchase and sale transactions (commercial, office and retail) and development transactions.
Review and comment on title and survey work.
Negotiate title insurance coverage and surveys and survey certifications.
Prepare and review conveyance and other closing and post-closing documents.
Coordinate recording of documents in connection with closings.
Prepare and review drafts of leases.
Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
Bachelor’s degree required.
2-3 years of transactional experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical abilities and resourcefulness.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet various, and sometimes competing deadlines.
Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
