The Systems Administrator will support a Microsoft-centric computing environment consisting of Windows 2008/2012 servers. This position will report to the Director of IT Infrastructure.
Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through emails, calls and the helpdesk ticketing system.
Install, maintain and upgrade server level software.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance on hardware and software systems.
Major involvement in maintaining data backup and protection environments.
Heavily involved in data management issues and responsibilities.
Import, export and archive e-mail related management tasks.
General user account administration in an Active Directory environment.
Produce relevant systems documentation for configurations and related processes.
Provide timely and effective support for servers and infrastructure during business hours as well as after-hours, as needed.
Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
Bachelor’s degree required.
2 - 4 years of experience in a Microsoft IT environment.
Experience with MS O365, Intune, MFA, HP Insight Manager, Microsoft System Center, MS Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange 2013, Citrix, Microsoft Endpoint Protection, Dell Equallogic Storage, Nimble Storage, HP Proliant Servers, Exagrid backup solutions, Symantec backup solutions and powershell scripting is a plus.
Technical experience working with Windows server computer systems, local area networks, and Exchange 2013.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to influence others.
Ability to function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment and prioritize multiple projects on a daily basis and adjust to shifting priorities.
Strong planning, project management and organizational skills.
