Tyrone P. Thomas, a Member of the Sports Law and Employment, Labor and Benefits Practice Groups of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., is speaking at the 2016 Learfield Intercollegiate Athletics Forum. The event will take place December 7-8 at the New York Marriott Marquis, Times Square in New York City.
In his session, Mr. Thomas will discuss legal issues facing college athletics, specifically student-athlete activism, their rights and the schools’ rights. Mr. Thomas will be joined by Tom McMillen, the President and CEO of LEAD1, an association representing the 129 athletic directors of Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) schools.
