Mintz Attorney Tyrone P. Thomas to Speak at 2016 Learfield Intercollegiate Athletics Forum

Tyrone P. Thomas, a Member of the Sports Law and Employment, Labor and Benefits Practice Groups of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., is speaking at the 2016 Learfield Intercollegiate Athletics Forum. The event will take place December 7-8 at the New York Marriott Marquis, Times Square in New York City.

In his session, Mr. Thomas will discuss legal issues facing college athletics, specifically student-athlete activism, their rights and the schools’ rights.  Mr. Thomas will be joined by Tom McMillen, the President and CEO of LEAD1, an association representing the 129 athletic directors of Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) schools.

The Intercollegiate Athletics Forum is the largest conference on the business of college sports. The Forum provides an "insider’s view" by offering firsthand insights from those directly shaping the future of intercollegiate athletics -- athletic directors, university presidents, conference commissioners, coaches, academic advisers, media and corporate sponsors.
