Mintz is pleased to announce that Richard Moche, a Member in the firm’s Boston office, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley.
The United Way is focused on ensuring that individuals and families have safe housing, healthy food, quality childcare, and earn enough to support themselves; and that children enter school ready to learn, develop critical social and academic skills, and get the support they need to stay in school and graduate.
“For the better part of 25 years, I have been supporting the United Way as I strongly support their mission. I believe that they are a highly innovative force for change, uniquely positioned to leverage the resources at their disposal to improve the lives of those they serve,” said Mr. Moche.
As a Board member, Mr. Moche will help provide strategic leadership around United Way’s work to deepen corporate and community partnerships, provide individuals with opportunities to take action on issues they care about, and deliver impact results that create lasting change in the region.

In his practice, Mr. Moche represents mutual funds, indenture trustees, private equity funds, and insurance companies in tax-exempt bond transactions, focusing in the area of high-yield securities in both workout and new money transactions. He approaches every transaction with a combination of strategic analysis, quantitative assessment, and negotiation skills that optimizes outcomes for his clients. His sector experience includes senior living, health care, multi-family housing, assessment districts, charter schools, and hospitality facilities. He serves as bond counsel on new money financings. Mr. Moche also serves on the Firm’s Policy Committee and is Division Head for the firm's Public Finance, Real Estate, Bankruptcy, and Environmental Sections.
