Seeking the next big cleantech idea in cleantech, the Cleantech Open Northeast accelerator program will have its awards and gala ceremony at the BU School of Management Trustee Center tomorrow, October 17, 2013 from 3:30-9:30pm. Companies will showcase their works and the top 8 companies will pitch for the regional prizes to a panel of VIP judges including Tom King, US President, National Grid, and Alicia Barton, CEO, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. Additionally, there will be addresses from keynote speakers before the prize winners are announced. Come watch as the regional winners are crowned, and enjoy a landmark night of networking with cleantech professionals, investors, and this year's top startups in the cleantech field. The mission of Cleantech Open is to find, fund, and foster the big ideas that address today’s most urgent energy, environmental, and economic challenges. Nationally since 2006 it has supported more than 700 entrepreneurs that have cumulatively raised more than $800M. The Northeast Region works with entrepreneurs in the six New England states, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
