Reminder Alert: Revised Form I-9 Must Be Used by U.S. Employers Starting May 7, 2013

As a follow-up to our Alert of March 8, 2013, this is a reminder that the revised Form I-9 must be used by all U.S. employers for new hires starting tomorrow, May 7, 2013. The new Form I-9 may be found at http://www.uscis.gov/I-9Central. This Alert is also to remind employers that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services published a correction in the Federal Register on April 9, 2013 to clarify that the revised Form I-9 must be used starting May 7, 2013. Please contact an attorney with Mintz Levin’s Immigration Practice for additional information regarding Form I-9, or if you have any questions about the employment eligibility verification process.
