MintzTech Connect Innovator Profile: Templum Inc.

Templum Inc., is a leading innovative financial technology company focused on the development of new market infrastructure for the digital asset sector. Templum Markets LLC, their captive broker-dealer and alternative trading system, offers issuers a platform for the initial sale of their digital assets and provides both issuers and investors a centralized platform for secondary trading.

Templum was founded in 2017 by market experts and investors with experience in private investing, blockchain technology, and market infrastructure. This leadership team has demonstrated success as thought leaders around regulatory, legal, and technology issues surrounding private liquidity and digital assets.

One year after Templum’s first digital security primary placement, Templum Markets has continued to develop. Earlier this year, Templum Markets partnered with CUSIP Global Services to provide unique security and entity identifiers to all digital securities offered on its platform. Most recently, this past October, Templum Markets successfully closed the Aspen Digital Tokens private equity offering to recapitalize the iconic St. Regis Aspen Resort. The deal represents a groundbreaking moment in the acceptance and growth of regulated digital securities by traditional participants.

In addition to its innovative work with digital assets, Templum has conducted advocacy work around the modernization of securities law as well as the securitization of blockchain instruments. Templum is actively engaged with regulators on several pending no action letters and petitions for rulemaking.

Templum’s mission is to create a new market infrastructure and standardization of best practices at the intersection of private markets and digital assets.
