    (Susan J. Cohen, Moderator )

On Friday November 5, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Susan Cohen will chair and moderate the panel “Local Economics Meets Global Migration:  A Global Review of Recent Restrictive Immigration Measures and Their Impact on Global Mobility” at the ABA Section on International Law’s Fall 2010 Meeting in Paris, France. In the wake of the largest global downturn since the Great Depression, many countries have implemented extremely restrictive immigration measures ostensibly to protect their local economies and their local workforce. This program explores new immigration restrictions being imposed by countries, including the United Kingdom, India, Australia and the United States, and explores and analyzes both the local and the global impact of these restrictions.
