Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. is pleased to be a sponsor of the 2012 U.S. – Israel Neurotechnology and Neuroscience Conference. The conference will take place on September 12th at The National Academy of Sciences Building in Washington, D.C.

The U.S. – Israel Neurotechnology and Neuroscience Conference will bring together leading scientists from academia and industry to showcase the latest research and cutting edge technologies for investigating brain function and brain disorders. Participants will learn about developments leading to breakthroughs in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.

Dr. Steven Hyman, Director of the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, will deliver the keynote address. Other featured speakers include the Honorable Patrick Kennedy, Co-Founder of One Mind for Research, and the Honorable Michael Oren, Israel’s Ambassador to the United States.

Susan W. Berson, Managing Member of Mintz Levin’s Washington, D.C. office and a Member of the firm’s Health Law Section will give a presentation at the conference entitled, “Commercializing Healthcare Technologies in the U.S.: Challenges and Opportunities.”

Other conference sessions will focus on: Memory and Brain Training, Brain Computing and Brain Machine Interface, Trauma and Stroke, Post Traumatic Stress and Recovery, Brain Cancer and Neurodegenerative Diseases.
