Mintz Levin Attorney Ran Zioni to Participate in Panel Discussion
Douglas Hauer, a Member of the Corporate & Securities Practice and co-chair of the Israel Business Practice Group of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., will be moderating a panel entitled, “Expanding Your Business into the US: Key Considerations & Pitfalls.” Ran Zioni, an International Attorney also practicing in the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice, will speak on the panel. The program will take place in Herzliya Pituach, Israel on July 8.
Two members of the Embassy of the United States of America to Israel, Joseph White, Deputy Senior Commercial Officer, and J. Barrett (Dubi) Travis, Consul, will give opening presentations.
The panel will address a number of issues facing Israeli companies considering opening or expanding their business in the United States. Such issues include choosing the right time to consider US operations, bringing Israeli employees into the US and dealing with distributors and independent sales representatives.
Mr. Hauer, who also practices in the firm’s Immigration Practice, represents multinational corporations in the financial services, technology, management consulting, hedge fund, specialty chemicals, insurance, defense, and engineering sectors. His work in corporate law focuses on private offerings and related securities work. Mr. Hauer also focuses on all aspects of business immigration law. He also serves as counsel to developers and companies seeking capital through the EB-5 investor visa program.
Mr. Zioni focuses on venture capital financing transactions, advising both companies and investors on international commercial transactions. He also advises venture capital investors on their investments in Israeli companies. Mr. Zioni began his legal career in Israel in 2000. He maintains a working relationship with some of Israel's leading law firms in the venture capital sector, as well as with several prominent Israeli venture capital firms.
