This presentation will describe the most common types of financing for early stage start-up companies, including convertible promissory notes, series seed, preferred stock (i.e., Series A financing) and general sale of common stock. We will review and discuss term sheets for each type of financings. The goal is for participants to come away with a good understanding of the key economic factors in each type of financing and understand the impact such financings would have on founders and the company.
