Christina is a Technical Advisor with a background in chemistry and research experience in biochemistry, chemical biology, and organic chemistry.

Prior to joining Mintz, Christina conducted her doctoral research at the University of California, San Diego, where she investigated organic/organometallic compounds for designing and synthesizing small molecule drugs for anticancer treatment, both independently and as part of a team. Her other projects included testing the cytotoxicity of compounds in vitro in a variety of cancer cell lines and designing a synthetic scheme to synthesize novel small molecules into anti-tumor agents. She also collaborated with another research group to explore the use of nanotechnology as a drug delivery vehicle, and designed synthetic means of synthesizing organic monomers to form polymers.

Earlier, Christina was a medicinal chemist intern at Takeda Pharmaceutical Co., where she synthesized and screened drug candidates with the potential to treat autoimmune diseases. As an undergraduate researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, she helped develop an innovative gold-catalyzed enantioselective ring closure of organic molecules; she also worked with graduate students to develop new methods of halogenation products using chiral anion phase transfer catalysis systems.

Christina serves as a pro bono scientific consultant with the Advanced Professional Degree Consulting Club at the University of California, San Diego. Her work has included co-leading a market analysis project for a start-up focused on oncolytic virus treatments and analyzing product viability and markets for microbiome health and stem cells research tool start-up companies.

Christina is conversational in Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese.
