Sanjana focuses her practice on transactional work, including venture capital and emerging companies, investment funds, securities and capital markets, and other complex corporate transactions. She counsels companies in a variety of industries, including Impact Capital & Social Innovation, Energy & Sustainability, Health Care, and Life Sciences.
Sanjana represents start-ups and emerging companies, venture funds, family offices, and private equity investors in private securities transactions, including early and late-stage equity financings, convertible debt, and other structures. Sanjana provides day-to-day counseling and strategic advice to start-ups and emerging companies, and regularly counsels clients on issues that arise during a company’s lifecycle.
Additionally, Sanjana advises investment funds with respect to the structuring, formation, and operations of registered and unregistered funds, private funds, including venture capital and private equity funds, and other pooled investment funds.
Sanjana maintains an active pro bono practice at Mintz. Her experience includes representing asylum seekers and special immigrant juveniles in obtaining permanent residence in the United States.
Sanjana is licensed to practice law in New York and India. Prior to joining Mintz, Sanjana was an associate at a law firm in India, where she advised and represented start-ups and emerging companies, and private equity and venture capital investors in complex transactions such as primary and follow-on investments, bridge financings, acquisitions, exits, mergers of closely-held companies, and compliance matters.
