Representative Experience

  • Advised a global investment bank, a national construction company, and a national insurance company on compliance with state campaign finance law, lobbying laws, and state ethics laws.
  • Represented a private equity firm in one of the largest health care transactions to take place in Massachusetts. We negotiated to protect thousands of confidential and proprietary documents submitted to the Attorney General’s Office as part of its review and approval of the transaction.
  • Successfully appealed the decision of the Texas Attorney General to prevent the disclosure of a multibillion-dollar private equity fund’s confidential trade secrets to a direct competitor and former employee.
  • Successfully represented an elected government official in an ethics inquiry.
  • Drafted legislation and four sets of regulations for a Massachusetts health care government agency.
  • Assisted several government entities in the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy and helped clients respond to subpoenas, document requests, and general litigation.
  • Assisted a global communications company in protecting confidential and proprietary information from being released by the federal government to a direct competitor.
  • Represented a public company in the technology sector, obtaining a positive resolution regarding suspension of the sale of its products in Massachusetts.
