Deal Watch: Where Did All the IPOs Go?

Mintz Member and Securities & Capital Markets Co-Chair William Hicks was quoted in The American Lawyer discussing 2022's slow IPO market. Bill commented that investors are seeing greener pastures in existing public companies that had their valuations lowered over the past several months than in plopping cash down on a company looking to go public. He said, "Not sure there will be another heady binge like after the Great Recession, but I think we will see a lot of transacting over the next couple of quarters... I am actually excited. Companies that should be public will take the lead. I’m optimistic.”
