Mintz’s Benjamin Sigel Receives Corporate Responsibility Award from the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys

Sigel has been named the 2019 recipient of the “Corporate Responsibility Award” from the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys (MAHA) for leveraging his position to cultivate relationships across the Commonwealth for the benefit of the Latinx legal profession and for his exceptional leadership and work to illuminate a new path forward toward a more diverse and inclusive legal profession in Greater Boston.

Mr. Sigel will be honored at MAHA’s 2019 Annual Awards Reception ("Courage, CommUNITY, and Justice for All") to be held on October 8 in Boston.

In his role at Mintz, Mr. Sigel coordinates and supports the efforts of the firm’s client and community relations activities, including deepening client relationships, increasing and expanding the firm's institutional reputation and goodwill, and effectively and efficiently bringing added value to the firm's clients and community partners.

Mr. Sigel is the current President of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) for Region I, which includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont, and sits on the HNBA National Board of Governors. He was recently recognized nationally by HNBA as “Regional President of the Year” for his work to invigorate HNBA in New England, among other efforts.

In addition to his leadership role with HNBA, Mr. Sigel serves on the Boards of the JDC, AJC New England, Gann Academy, American Society of Haifa University, New England Israel Business Council, and Jewish Teen Foundation of Greater Boston.

MAHA promotes service and excellence in the Hispanic legal community and seeks to provide opportunities for professional growth to its members. MAHA strives to enhance the business and professional stature of its members in the legal community at large, increase the participation of Hispanic leaders in the civic arena, and elevate the standard of integrity, honor, and courtesy in the legal profession.
