32 Pro Bono Honors Friends of the Children — New York honored Mintz at its annual spring gala, recognizing the firm’s long-term support and sponsorship of the organization. The US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts recognized Kerime Akoglu, Charles Azano, Eric Blythe, Adrienne Walker, and Kevin Walsh on its Pro Bono Honor Roll for helping those who face substantial economic hardship navigate the bankruptcy process. Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly recognized Deb Daccord as one of the Top Women of Law of 2017. The annual event celebrates outstanding achievements made by exceptional women lawyers and highlights women who are pioneers, educators, trailblazers, and role models. Deb is chair of the board of directors of the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston, a member of the board of trustees for senior housing community Lasell Village, and a founding member of Women for Whittier (an organiza- tion that supports Whittier Street Health Center programs that address disparities in health for women, children, and families in Boston). The District of Columbia Bar recognized Don Davis as a Social Justice Changemaker for his work with LGBTQ advocacy organizations and dedication to pro bono work. Don serves as the current president of the LGBT Bar Association of the District of Columbia, sits on the board of directors of Support- ing and Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders, and recently co-authored the LGBTQ Employment Law Practice Guide.
