Time: 2:00PM

Location: The Starr Center 185 Cambridge Street Boston, MA

Topics

  • Start Up! How to start with nothing and have most of it left

  • Non-traditional Careers: Do they exist and what are they?

Science is changing rapidly and the opportunities offered to doctorates are numerous.  The types of scientists, the way of doing science, the collaborations between industry and academia and the career paths have changed drastically in the recent years.  Therefore, the goal of this retreat is to demonstrate the potential of graduate studies and to help students find the career path that suits them the best.

Students will have the opportunity to hear scientific talks from Broad trainees, engage with industry professionals at a facilitated science discussion, attend workshops aimed at developing essential transferable skills and learn about non-academic career paths at our organized panel discussions.
